History
Susan’s Danstudio was established in 1983 by Susan Carey, examiner and fellow (Hons) IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association), when she returned from teaching dance in Italy.

Outside Susan's Danstudio on High Street
The studio was at Frecheville Football and Cricket Club at Silkstone Road Frecheville Sheffield. It started with twelve pupils and grew rapidly, putting on its first school show the following year with fifty pupils at the nearby Thornbridge School.
- In 1984 a second branch of the school was established at Coal Aston Community Centre North Derbyshire.
- In 1990 Susan purchased her own premises in Eckington at 102 High Street and both branches were brought together.
- In 1999 the premises were upgraded to include a new basement studio, boys and girls changing rooms and a dancewear shop.

Susan’s Danstudio has been established for over twenty years providing children of all abilities the chance to develop their talents in dance and all its aspects
The number of pupils has continued to grow each year since the original twelve enrolled in 1983. Today over 350 pupils regularly attend classes ranging from beginners to advanced.
